Lazy Rivers have not advanced in
entertainment value since their invention decades ago. The main
problem is that the old clunky, mechanical technology was a problem
for engineers with moving attractions. Lazy Rivers are designed to
circulate participants in a path, and it is counterproductive to
require them to stop for any length of time to situate at an
interactive. Wizard Works has changed that. SmartWorks Technology
has broken the barriers that have prevented designers from being
able to produce a moving adventure. The key to Wizard Works’ success
with our trademarked Crazy-Lazy River is our ability to allow the
river participants to instantly strike interesting objects while
being rewarded with an exciting response. Our Slap Target, for
example, allows a moving guest to swat at it, which triggers a
sensor to send a signal to our SmartWorks Controller, which has been
programmed to respond with any variety of responsive effects. We can
spray water out of a nearby feature. We can blast a depth charge
from below the depths of the water. We can trigger a sound effect.
We can trigger a water blaster. There is no limit to what kind of
whimsical effect we can produce using SmartWorks Technology.
But Wizard Works has gone further and designed play features that
allow participants within the river to interact with spectators
along the perimeter, thereby multiplying the fun. Spectators can be
situated on bridges to drop water from above. They can be hidden
around corners for surprise gags. And we can allow the river
participants to spray water back at them.
What is even more astonishing is that our SmartWorks Controller is
so intelligent that we can have it automatically cycle the
interactives on and off, on 20 minute cycles throughout the day.
This awesome feature allows moms and small children some peaceful
time without all the drenching chaos. Then moments before all the
interactives are initiated, hilarious sound effects begin to alert
the crowds that “It’s going to get really wet and crazy in here in 5
minutes!” Wow, that is two rides in one!
